Hey, I am Ali!

I am based in Berlin and I love crafting stories that connect on a human level. My work bridges the worlds of theater, independent film, and commercial productions, and I am driven by a dedication to authenticity, collaboration, and the kind of creativity that hopefully sticks with you long after the credits roll.

After graduating from acting school in 2014, I quickly discovered my passion for the collaborative energy of filmmaking. Since making the shift behind the camera, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to a variety of productions, from international series and feature films to public broadcasting and experimental theater. My background in acting gives me an understanding of performance and storytelling, but my focus is on shaping narratives from a director's perspective. I thrive in high-stakes, fast-paced environments and am committed to delivering compelling, polished, and emotionally resonant work, whether through complex narratives or visually-driven concepts.

On set, I aim to create a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and able to do their best work. I value community, smart problem-solving, and the collaborative energy that makes the film industry so special. I’m particularly drawn to projects that explore human complexity. stories that embrace the tension between vulnerability and strength, imperfection and beauty.
